While video communication was becoming increasingly popular prior to 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic sharply accelerated the trend. Video has now become embedded in all industries, and, for much of the world, frequent video communications are an expected and standard part of working life.
Remote work is no longer an either/or proposition; the new normal is characterised by a hybrid model where the location of work is increasingly irrelevant. Collaboration between co-workers will occur in person, and remotely, with teams frequently distributed over multiple locations. Transferring from one working environment to another must be near seamless, which requires the correct tools. The post-vaccine return to the office is necessitates extensive investment both in meeting rooms (conference cameras) and for personal solutions (I.e. webcams).
