CES broke several of its own records in January 2016 to attract 170k delegates to Las Vegas to view products displayed by 3,800 exhibitors over 2.47m square feet.

The organisers dropped the ‘International’ prefix to the show name this time around, the consequence of hosting other CES shows elsewhere in the world, such as CES Asia, which is set for Shanghai in May 2016.

Besides traditional core CE products such as TV and audio, the show once again featured a growing number of non-traditional consumer products such as wearables and Internet of Things devices.

Futuresource fielded a team of nine analysts, who examined the products on show and spoke with exhibitors and other delegates in order to learn what was new and what trends might emerge as a result.
