Russia’s Video Entertainment Landscape is heavily weighted towards Pay-TV which is expected to comprise 61% of consumer spend in 2017. Box office receipts are anticipated to account for over a third of spend with home video across packaged and digital just 4% of the projected total of RUB 144 billion. Home Video is still ravaged by piracy, a problem that Russia has not been able to eradicate, but is beginning to have some success competing against. As such, the paid for market outlook is healthy with CAGR of 2% anticipated throughout the forecast period of 2017 to 2021.
