Due to the digitalisation of commerce, consumer electronics retail distribution is experiencing continued change. Developing nations are set to provide growth to a slowing CE market, and their modernising CE retail markets are set to change the global channel landscape.
Worldwide, Specialist CE retail chains are expected to remain the largest electronics channel. However, Pure Online and Multi-Channel retail will see the largest revenue growth in the next five years. By 2021, only 33% of unit sales will be made in-store.
