In this session from Ed Tech Collaborative, Jim Gardner at DoE provides an overview of the English Government’s technology intervention for schools during COVID, whilst discussing their digital strategy for the next 5-10 years. Following this, John Solomon, VP & GM at Chrome OS explores the focus on helping schools deliver powerful teaching and learning experiences remotely. The session then moves onto an engaging panel discussion around platform tools for education, looking ahead to future opportunities.

How is COVID-19 driving change, particularly in higher education? The last year or two has certainly encouraged the experimentation of educational delivery and the digitisation of the campus experience. Institutions must think about the future – not just in terms of planning for another potential pandemic, but how to prepare for change and innovation. Utilising Futureource’s primary K-12 research, Michael explores how the equity gap across devices and connectivity has been magnified over the past 12 months.

Jeremy Wills, Pro AV Analyst at Futuresource, discussed the topic of remote learning and technology choices with his panellists at Ed Tech Collaborative this year. HP, Logitech, Utelogy and ViewSonic joined Jeremy to discuss how COVID-19 has accelerated the need for new collaboration and display technology within the classroom.
