Futuresource Understanding Enterprise AV: Decision-Maker Perspectives

The last few years have seen a profound shift in the relationship between companies and their employees. Home- and remote-working have become normalised, and the use of video is now widespread.

Four years on from the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is still uncertainty around the ideal balance of in-person and remote workers, how office space may be best used, and even what the office is for. While technology can help facilitate hybrid work, there is no one-size-fits-all approach appropriate to all companies; instead, organisations are finding which solutions work best for their particular needs.

Though the pandemic is now behind us, there have been a series of geopolitical and economic shocks that have raised caution around discretionary spending. Nevertheless, readers of this report will see there is optimism around budgets, and a willingness to spend on the right solutions.

Futuresource has carried out research with 900 decision-makers and influencers across the USA, UK, France, Germany, India and Japan. All respondents were responsible for the selection and/or purchase of technology used in meeting rooms and across the wider campus. Interviews were conducted during February and March 2024, across a wide range of industry sectors and organisation size. This report covers the entire sample of respondents. The accompanying data tables offer more detail on a country level.
