Current Global Home Audio Products Market Trends
Despite the home audio market shrinking slightly year-on-year in volume terms in Q1 2022, value has grown by more than 2%. Yet looking back to last year, H1 2021 was a period of unusually high demand, therefore Q1 of this year can be considered highly successful.
Prices remain high across all three home audio categories, namely wireless speakers, soundbars and Hi Fi systems. This reflects the saturation of smart speaker products in key markets such as North America and China.
Moving forward, Futuresource expects to see few new model launches across Q2 and Q3 2022. This will keep market volume steady, but will offset the more significant price increases of home audio devices against wider inflationary pressures.
