This is the twelfth global study Futuresource has undertaken in the Video Wall category following on from reports run in 2003, 2007, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021​.​

In an ever-competitive market space, there is an increasing need to understand how each of the technology plays in this world and how, going forward, they may be impacted or grow and dominate the market. It is a very exciting time to be involved in the market. ​​

Definitionally, LED video walls include Narrow Pixel Pitch (NPP) defined as 1.0mm to 2.5mm and Ultra Narrow Pixel Pitch (UNPP) characterized as 0.9mm and below. Standard pitches are greater than and equal to 2.6mm. ​​

Since the last report, LED video walls, including Narrow Pixel Pitch (NPP) and Ultra Narrow Pixel Pitch (UNPP) has become the leading video wall technology by value. A serious competitor to incumbent tiled display technology, LED technology is already competing in a broad range of vertical markets and looks set to come the dominate video wall solution within the next five years. ​​

In this report Futuresource has updated its Rear projection Cube (RPC), tiled LCD and LED (both NPP and UNPP) analysis.
