Our approach: Targeted research to uncover consumer priorities

We surveyed 503 connected consumers in China, applying quotas for gender, age, and income to ensure a nationally representative sample. Respondents were screened to meet strict criteria:

  • Regularly drive or travel as a passenger in a car with a built-in audio system.
  • Own at least one connected home audio device, defined as a device with the ability to connect via Wi-Fi to other devices or the internet

Our research explored:

  • How audio is consumed across home and automotive environments.
  • Consumer expectations for seamless interoperability and voice assistant continuity.
  • Buying criteria for infotainment and connected devices.
  • Attitudes toward AI-driven features and privacy safeguards.

By combining quantitative data with qualitative insights, we provided Cinemo with a clear picture of consumer priorities and the market opportunity.
