Ad-hoc meeting spaces spark fresh opportunities in corporate display market
From boardrooms to breakout zones, the canvas for collaboration is shifting. Businesses are redesigning their spaces and screens, and professional displays are evolving to serve new ways of working.
Futuresource Consulting’s latest professional displays report for the corporate sector reveals a market valued at $7 billion in 2024. While the overall market softens, with forecasts indicating a CAGR shrinking at -2.6% through to 2029, new investment patterns are taking shape.
“The conversation has shifted,” says David Thompson, Lead Market Analyst at Futuresource Consulting. “Workplace walls are changing, and so is what hangs on them. Now that hybrid working culture has well-and-truly settled in, the corporate display market is finding fresh purpose in flexibility, creativity, and flexible display solutions that fit a broader range of environments.”
From formal to flexible
According to the report, 70% of organisations now hold meetings outside traditional conference rooms, with 62% already investing in display or collaboration technology for these spaces. From open lounges to café-style collaboration zones, ad-hoc meeting areas are becoming core to the modern workplace. With them, the demand for compact, easily deployable display solutions is growing.
Interactive flat panel displays (IFPDs) and large-format LCDs remain central to these environments, while direct-view LED (DVLED) continues to gain ground, supported by falling prices and stronger visual performance. Futuresource forecasts LED to achieve an 8.8% CAGR out to 2029, overtaking projection and IFPD in total market value.
Regional patterns and shifting priorities
The market remains globally diverse. APAC accounts for nearly half of all corporate display value, driven by large-scale deployments and new-build infrastructure, while the Americas and EMEA are stabilising through hybrid work cycles, refurbishments and evolving meeting strategies.
At the product level, the decline in unit volume is primarily linked to falling ASPs and extended replacement timelines. However, the growth of flexible meeting environments and smaller, decentralised collaboration zones is creating new opportunities for vendors and integrators.
Evolving needs, enduring value
“In headline terms, the market may be cooling, but value is being rebuilt in different ways,” says Thompson. “Displays are much more than the monitor on the meeting room wall. They’re part of a richer, broader collaboration ecosystem, which extends across spaces, devices and teams. By 2029, nearly a third of all corporate display value will come from LED, and it’s forcing other display categories to evolve or reposition, proof that innovation is driving the next cycle of growth.”
