Wireless collaboration market at a crossroads, as competition and fragmentation reshape the landscape
New Futuresource Consulting research explores the state of wireless presentation and conferencing markets across enterprise and education sectors.
The global wireless presentation and conferencing markets are being reshaped by shifting demand, rising competition and a wave of technological transformation. Despite a modest 3% rise in hardware shipments during H2 2024, the market remains under pressure from macroeconomic challenges and a slowdown in enterprise AV spending.
That’s according to the latest Wireless Presentation Solutions Market Review from Futuresource Consulting. The report delivers a detailed analysis of the second half of 2024, as well as highlighting emerging opportunities for H1 2025.
Video bars on the rise
“We’re seeing a market on a high wire,” says Scarlett Woodford, Head of Collaboration at Futuresource Consulting. “It’s a balancing act, where solutions with wireless functionality are still essential, yet there’s a growing overlap with all-in-one video bar solutions. Users are increasingly drawn to the simplicity and integration benefits that these bars offer, with vendors now increasingly incorporating wireless functionality into larger form factors like video bars, IFPDs and projectors. As these evolutions take place, the future of standalone wireless conferencing becomes threatened.”
This mounting interest in all-in-one video bar devices is redefining expectations for collaboration hardware. Their incompatibility with leading wireless protocols like Miracast and Barco ClickShare is accelerating the need for interoperability and sparking a new wave of partnerships between hardware vendors and leaders like Jabra and Logitech.
Market fragmentation and white-label pressure
Market fragmentation remains high across the industry, with nearly half (49%) of global WPS and WCF volumes coming from vendors that hold less than 5% share individually.
The appeal of high-volume, low-cost manufacturing—particularly from white-label OEM or ODM providers—is beginning to fade in Western markets. While these manufacturers can deliver large quantities at low prices, they often lack the robust aftersales support that decision-makers now prioritise. As a result, brands that adopt these solutions are left to shoulder the burden of technical support and warranty issues themselves, leading to eroded margins and weakening the business case for white-labelling.

An opportunity for small spaces
Enterprises are increasingly focused on small meeting rooms, holding 4-6 people, which is creating fresh demand for right-sized wireless conferencing tools. While H1 2025 showed conservative purchasing patterns, early signs point to renewed confidence, although the impact of US tariffs looms large.
Despite video bars gaining ground in these environments, Futuresource notes that they don’t cover every use case. This presents a clear opportunity for wireless conferencing vendors to step in, bridging gaps in hybrid workflows and offering the adaptability enterprises still need.
“To succeed in this evolving landscape, vendors need to adapt fast,” says Woodford. “Whether through tighter integrations, simplified user experiences or targeting smaller meeting environments, the next phase of growth will come through agility and innovation.”
