The global professional camcorder market showed strong growth in Q2 2026, with positive momentum across the Americas, EMEA and APAC in both volume and value. EMEA delivered particularly strong YoY value growth, while global QoQ performance remained positive.
Budget-conscious end users continued to favour the sub-$2,499 segment, with models such as Canon’s XA series benefiting from large-scale project deployments. At the same time, demand for higher-priced models in the $2,500–$9,999 range helped push ASPs upward.
Technology adoption was also a key growth driver, with increasing interest in mechanical IBIS and native open-gate recording, enabling greater flexibility in post-production. Despite continued efforts to clear legacy channel inventory, the launch of feature-rich new models helped unlock spending across corporate, broadcast and regional production markets.
