Consumers across the USA, UK, France and Germany remain positive on adopting smart home devices, with higher rates of ownership reported compared to previous research alongside positive sentiment reporting for purchasing more smart home devices in the future.
Smart home device ownership has increased since Futuresource's 2021 survey, with respondents reporting an increase in almost all categories of
products. Smart security systems saw ownership increase most significantly, with the proportion of the sample claiming ownership increasing by 17% since 2021, now totalling 25% of the sample.
Device ownership was reported at high levels in most markets. The UK had the highest level of ownership at 78% of respondents owning at least one smart home product, and with similar rates reported in USA and France, while Germans reported lower ownership at 61%.
