This is the seventh consumer survey report from Futuresource Consulting, providing an insight into the role Smart Home technology plays in the home. The report hones in on Domestic Appliances in particular - assessing consumer perception, uptake and purchase intent for products in the category.
Despite the wider economic challenges, consumers remain positive about adopting smart home devices, with higher rates of ownership reported compared to previous research alongside positive sentiment reporting for purchasing more smart home devices in the future.
Covering the USA, UK, France and Germany, the report zooms in on Smart Appliances, Control, and Security and Safety devices. Fieldwork was completed using an online survey in August 2023, with a sample of approximately 1,500 respondents in each country and appropriate quotas set for both age and gender.
