This explosion of content and unprecedented rise of direct to consumer services and new Internet ‘super aggregators’ is challenging the traditional media incumbents. Today’s consumers have greater choice and are increasingly promiscuous. Arguably, the “battle for the smart home” may be more appropriate for 2019 (and we will touch on this in the report).
