Geir Skaaden, Chief Products and Services Officer - Xperi
Geir Skaaden serves as our Chief Products and Services Officer and leads global sales, business development and product management for our portfolio of imaging and audio solutions. At DTS he was promoted to Executive Vice President, Products, Platforms and Solutions in 2015, having previously served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Business Development, Digital Content and Media Solutions. Prior to that, Geir served as Senior Vice President, Products& Platforms from April 2012 to December 2013. From 2008 to 2012, he served in a number of positions where he oversaw strategic sales, licensing operations, and business development. Prior to joining DTS in 2008, Geir served as the chief executive officer at Neural Audio Corporation from 2004 to 2008, where he previously served as Vice President, corporate development from 2002 to 2004.
Geir holds a B.A. in Finance from the University of Oregon, a business degree from the Norwegian School of Management and an M.B.A. from the University of Washington.

Tim Johnston PE, Vice President of Engineering - Starkey Hearing
A seasoned audio executive with body-worn audio technology and product development expertise, Tim Johnston is passionate about creating the best experiences for hearing health, music listening, gaming, fitness, and communication. Drawn by the opportunity to be part of one of the most forward-thinking, industry-leading, U.S. based hearing aid manufacturers, Starkey Hearing, Tim Johnston joined the company in April 2020 as Vice President of Engineering and Program Management. From working with engineers developing first-to-world technology, Tim Johnston is deeply inspired by making a difference in people’s lives and helping them live their lives more fully.
Prior to joining Starkey Hearing, Tim Johnston was a Vice President of Engineering and Senior Vice Preisdent and General Manager of the Headphone Business Unit for Bowers & Wilkins, spearheading the creation of the successful headphones business and award-winning headphones, which received accolades from the likes of Rolling Stone magazine as “Best Overall Headphones 2020.”
Tim Johnston began his career in the audio field at Plantronics (Poly), where he held various Vice President roles, developing full lines of speaker phones, headphones, and headsets that positioned the company as a world-leader in office and callcenter audio solutions. A strong advocate for thinking outside of the box and advancing the field, Tim Johnston has held Adjunct Professor roles with four universities for Design Thinking. He is a registered professional engineer and an inventor on over 20 utility patents.
David Saidden, Director of Strategic Partnerships - TikTok
David Saidden joins us from TikTok after spending the last 20 years working across various mobile carriers and retailers globally. Based in Europe, David is currently the Director of Strategic Partnerships at ByteDance; the technology company behind TikTok. TikTok is the platform for creating and sharing short videos on the go which is now available in over 150 markets, across 75 languages and is consistently rated the number 1 downloaded app globally.
Travis Baxter, Content & External Affairs Director - Bauer Media
Travis works with Bauer Radio focussed in the UK. His background is in programme making and subsequently business management having been a Managing Director with what is now RTL group and also EMAP, and Bauer Radio UK. He has worked for Private Equity firms Advent International and 3i and in most countries in Europe. His current projects include working with DCMS on the steering board of the Digital Radio Review.
Andreas Ehret, Director, Technology Marketing - Dolby
Andreas has been active as a technology leader in the audio industry for over two decades. He joined Dolby back in 2007 and since then served the company in various engineering and technology VP leadership roles, managing the teams that created solutions scaling into billions of consumer devices.
Over the past couple of years his focus had been on the market introduction of Dolby’s next generation audio codec AC-4, as well as contributions to bring the Atmos music experience to life. More recently, Andreas has shifted his role towards an outbound role – working on the intersections of technology and innovation, business development, and media industry relationships to create impactful consumer experiences.
Andreas is a strong believer in concepts such as use-case driven exploration, lean principles, rapid prototyping, collaboration with the industry, maintaining artistic intent, and validating consumer value.
Chris Havell, Senior Director of Product Marketing, Voice & Music - Qualcomm Technologies
Chris Havell is Senior Director, Product Marketing at Qualcomm Technologies International, Ltd.’s voice & music business unit, where he is responsible for the full portfolio of wireless audio solutions, addressing the high-growth personal audio and portable speaker products.
Havell brings more than 30 years’ experience in the high-tech industry and joined Qualcomm as part of the CSR acquisition. Prior to CSR he held senior product marketing roles at AMD, ATI and NEC, primarily covering single chip MPEG Video and Audio platforms for Digital Television and Set Top Boxes. Havell has a degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Warwick.
Chris Burns, Head of Audio and Digital - BBC England
Chris Burns is the Head of Audio and Digital for BBC England. She provides editorial leadership to all 39 Local Radio stations in England. Since taking this post in 2018 she has spearheaded the reinvention of Local Radio for the next generation. In her previous post, Chris was Chief Operating Officer within the BBC’s Deputy Director General’s Group. Prior to this Chris worked as Head of Group Operations for BBC Network Radio. Radio is where her true passion lies.
Chris started as a late-night phone-in presenter for Radio Trent in Nottingham. Since then she has worked as a presenter, producer, editor and department head across the BBC and commercial sector. Her career has included editing shows on Radio 4 such as Woman’s Hour, Any Questions and Start the Week. She launched Saturday Live and was responsible for bringing some of the nation’s most-loved voices to Radio 4 including Jane Garvey and Kirsty Young. She chaired the Radio Academy for three years.

Martin Bodley, Director, Emerging Businesses - Bose
As the Director and Global Head of Bose Work for Bose Professional, Martin Bodley is a proven technology and business leader, having recently joined Bose by way of acquisition of his most recent startup ZiipRoom, which developed a simpler and mobile-first meeting experience solution. In his current role, Martin is building a new business category focused on disrupting the unified communications market by delivering best-in-class, beyond ‘good enough’ solutions that improve the collaborative experience, regardless of where people are located. Prior to ZiipRoom, Martin founded and led Revolabs. Martin holds BSEE and MSEE degrees and attended the MIT Greater Boston Leadership Program.
Bernice Cramer, Director of Product Management and Global Marketing, Professional Audio - Bose
Bernice Cramer is the Head of Global Marketing for the Professional Systems Division of Bose. Her previous roles at Bose include General Manager of the headphone business where she succeeded in tripling revenues within four years. Prior to joining Bose, Bernice lead product management and marketing functions for Altec Lansing, Plantronics and Polaroid, following an entrepreneurial career in Tokyo and Boston where she advised technology brands as diverse as Canon, Gulfstream, Shure, Kenwood and Unilever. Bernice is married with three grown children, and calls Massachusetts home. She is an alumna of Cornell University and is fluent in Japanese.
Robert Jan van Dormael, Vice President of Consumer Marketing - Harman
Robert is responsible for EMEA Marketing, Product Strategy & Planning, and Global NPI for HARMAN. Based in Amsterdam, Robert leads a highly creative and award-winning team that brings epic audio experiences to life for JBL, Harman Kardon, and AKG. He is a member of the Global Marketing and EMEA Lifestyle Leadership Team, and is actively leading the digital transformation of the business and customer experience across EMEA. Prior to joining Harman, Robert held several Marketing positions at Royal Philips Electronics in The Netherlands and The United States.
Dave Berol, Senior Solution Audio Engineer - Amazon
With a passion for audio and consumer electronics, David enjoys helping companies to solve problems and bring delightful experiences to their customers. David has worked at several silicon companies, focusing on audio signal processing at Audience and Wolfson. He has also supported customers all over the world as a Field Applications Engineer for MEMS microphones through companies like Knowles, Bosch and Akustica.
Currently, David is at Amazon working for the Alexa Voice Service as a Solution Architect and Audio Subject Matter expert. He helps customers successfully integrate Alexa into their products and applications, insisting on the highest standard for acoustic certification.
Steve Raizes, Senior Vice President - ViacomCBS Podcasts
Steve Raizes is responsible for working with a broad group of stakeholders across each brand in the ViacomCBS portfolio to define the strategy, marketing, operations and creative needed to develop great podcasts. The portfolio includes brands such as AwesomenessTV, BET, CBS, CBS All Access, CBS Sports, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Showtime Networks and Paramount Studios. His role speaks to my background as both a business and creative executive - allowing him to tell stories that create meaningful connections for fans to shows and characters (while also driving revenue and awareness). He is based in the New York City offices (now New York apartments), really enjoys writing about himself in the third person and feels good about not including the words “synergy” or “disruption” in this bio.
Meridith Rojas, Global Head of Creator Marketing - Logitech
Meridith Rojas is an award-winning digital entrepreneur, media executive, published author, and keynote speaker. She currently serves as the Global Head, Creator Marketing at Logitech. She is also a Brand Strategist at Columbia Records where she helped incubate and launch kid’s music platform Jam Jr and launched national partnerships with Walmart and Justice.
In 2011 she founded DigiTour Media, which became the first and largest producer of live events featuring social media talent. In her role as CEO, Rojas oversaw the production of over 1,000 live events and hundreds of thousands of tickets across the U.S. and abroad and helped to launch the careers of top digital talent. In 2015, Viacom acquired a significant stake in DigiTour. Mervi Heinaro, CEO & Co-Founder - FLEXOUND
Mervi Heinaro, the CEO and co-founder of FLEXOUND Augmented Audio, is a fearless business leader with a successful track record in many industries. Andrea Rusconi, Managing Director and CTO - USound
Andrea Rusconi Clerici has 20 years of experience in the MEMS industry, being involved in technology R&D, product design, manufacturing engineering, and operations, ranging from new technology IP development to mass production. He has experience in research (Fraunhofer Institute), large companies (STMicroelectronics, Maxim Integrated) and start-ups (Sensordynamics, USound). He co-founded USound with the mission of bringing MEMS-based micro speakers to the market; he now serves as managing director and CTO.
Adam Levenson, Senior Director, Business Development - Waves Audio
The art of sound has sparked Adam Levenson’s imagination since he started recording with a portable Panasonic cassette machine and began playing drums at the age of seven. Today, as Senior Director of Business Development and Marketing in the Waves Audio Consumer division, he is driven and inspired by the possibilities unlocked by advanced audio technology. Adam heads up product marketing at Waves and pursues industry collaborations in new markets. Like so many of his Waves colleagues, Adam began his career as a musician with a ten-year stint as an orchestral percussionist, modern dance accompanist, and member of the Davka trio.
Following an 18-year journey in sound design for video games, Adam served as Senior Director at Activision, where he established the company’s Central Audio team to support work on major video game franchises, including the iconic “Call of Duty.” After discovering the thrill of making business deals and aligning partnerships, Adam began a five-year journey to earn his JD from Loyola Law School while launching a talent agency, and later serving as COO of Somatone Interactive, a global leader in audio for mobile games before graduating in 2016. After law school, Adam joined CRI Middleware as GM to introduce CRI’s audio technologies into North America and Europe, then led business development, strategic partnerships, and marketing for Gaudio Lab, the award-winning audio technology company specializing in spatial audio. In addition to his JD, Adam has a Master of Fine Arts from California Institute of the Arts in music, providing him with a unique blend of expertise in both creative thinking and strategic analysis.

Dr. Paul Beckmann, Founder & CTO - DSP Concepts
Dr. Paul Beckmann is the founder and CTO of DSP Concepts, a company that specializes in tools and IP for audio product developers. He has many years of experience developing audio products and creating algorithms for audio playback and voice. Paul is passionate about teaching, and has taught industry courses on DSP, audio processing, and product development. Prior to founding DSP Concepts, Paul spent 9 years at Bose Corporation and was involved in R&D and product development activities.
Stefan Meltzer, Chief Business Development Manager - Fraunhofer
Stefan Meltzer studied electrical engineering at the Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen, Germany. In 1990 he joined the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS) in Erlangen, Germany. After working in the field of IC design for several years, Stefan became the project leader for the development of the WorldSpace Satellite Broadcasting system in 1995 and in 1998 of the XM Satellite Radio broadcasting system. His team was responsible for the system design, chip set design, field trials and development of a reference signal generator.
In 2000 he joined Coding Technologies in Nuremberg as Vice President for business development, Germany. His responsibilities included broadcasting and consumer electronics. During his time at Coding Technologies HE AAC was accepted in numerous broadcasting standards and applications.
After Coding Technologies was acquired by Dolby Labs, Stefan joined Iosono as CTO in April 2008. From January 2010, Stefan worked as independent technology consultant with the main focus on audio and multimedia. In this role he supported Fraunhofer IIS in the business development and marketing activities within the TV broadcast market. In April 2018, Stefan joined Fraunhofer IIS as Chief Business Development Manager.
Jason Goecke, VP and General Manager - Intel Unite
Jason S. Goecke is a vice president in the Client Computing Group and general manager of Intel Unite® at Intel Corporation. He is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the Intel Unite business, including product strategy, product development, go-to-market strategy, as well as building and leveraging key industry partnerships.
Goecke joined Intel in 2019 from Cisco where he was responsible for leading strategic planning and management for product groups including Cisco Webex Teams and Webex Assistant. From 2011 to 2015, he served as president and CEO of Tropo, Inc., prior to its acquisition by Cisco. Ian O'Neill OBE, Head of Radio and Head of Broadcasting Resilience - Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS)
Ian O’Neill is currently Head of Radio and Head of Broadcasting Resilience at DCMS. He was previously a member of the UK’s Digital TV Switchover project from 2002-2008, leading on the socio-economic aspects of TV switchover and on the BBC’s digital purposes for the BBC Charter Review (2005-2007). In 2008, Ian joined the London 2012, successfully delivering a number of projects supporting the delivery of 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. He received an OBE in the 2013 New Year’s Honours List for services to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. He re-joined the DCMS Media Team in February 2013, as Head of Radio Policy and is responsible for all aspects of radio policy including digital radio Ian is been also responsible for complex media public interest cases and was the case lead for the Fox-Sky and Comcast-Sky merger cases in 2017 and 2018.
